Story is a purpose-built Layer 1 that turns intellectual property into programmable, traceable, tradable assets. Creators register a work as an on-chain IP Asset (an NFT) and attach a Programmable IP License, an off-chain legal contract mirrored on-chain, so attribution, permissions, and royalties become enforceable smart contract logic that stays compatible with frameworks like the Berne Convention.
Technically it is a sovereign L1 built on the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT with an added EVM execution layer, secured and paid for with the $IP token. It is explicitly positioned for the AI era, where datasets and generated media need clear provenance and royalty flows.
